Driven by our commitment to bringing the excitement of golf to the home garden, we at Best Garden have completed the installation of a spectacular adventure mini-golf course for a client passionate about the sport, designed to hone both putting and approach skills. This exceptional project blends visual appeal with thrilling gameplay challenges, creating an outstanding garden amenity.
The client, a golf enthusiast, chose to take advantage of the adventure mini-golf installation to hone both his and his family’s skills. The course design features steep slopes, strategic doglegs, and ingenious tunnels, all tailored to the garden setting. Close communication between Best Garden and the client ensured that every hole was unique, incorporating challenging obstacles and banked curves.
The process began with a detailed preliminary design phase, during which our Best Garden team immersed itself in conceptualizing the mini-golf course, discussing ideas and exploring the site’s potential. Once the concepts took shape, we moved on to the final design, maintaining the flexibility to make on-site adjustments to overcome potential challenges; we recognize that plans may need to shift due to specific site conditions, although our projects typically retain a 90% resemblance to the initial designs.
The construction phase involved careful site preparation, including the creation of undulations and contours to optimize play.
We conducted tests without the turf to anticipate ball behavior prior to installing the artificial grass, which features colored areas to simulate water. Additionally, bridges and decorative elements were added to enhance the course’s aesthetics, while ensuring diversity in the hole designs.
Tunnels were designed to suit the surrounding landscape—such as a natural grass mound with a tunnel built right through it. The result is a complete and exciting adventure mini-golf course that offers the option of playing for points by aiming at different flags, adding a competitive element.
To meet the client’s needs, Best Garden also installed a pure golf-style putting green, complete with a practice bunker and an approach area. This area features a zero-break zone for practicing putts from various distances, alongside an elevated platform that adds an element of fun and allows the client to practice breaking putts—ensuring the inclusion of both breaking and straight putts on our greens.
A perimeter ring has been added to the putting green to create a more natural look, with the number of holes determined by the available space. The client expressed satisfaction with the project, highlighting the quality of the turf and the fun offered by the adventure minigolf course. With six holes on the putting green, the garden has been transformed into a multifunctional space that blends the serious side of golf with the fun of minigolf.
